     We are located in the heart of the Buford Artist Colony. Our school was originally dubbed Buford School of Art. It remained on Main St in Historic Buford until Oct of 2006.At this time, the name was changed to Anita's ArtsCool..  We teach drawing, painting and clay classes to children, teens an adults. For children ,our classes compliment or enhance art that is taught in their public or private school. Emphasis is placed on adults and teens to find their "voice" in art and sharpen those communication skills .Students of all ages explore a wide range of materials,  expand their knowledge of famous artists, learn techniques to sharpen their artistic skills and are encouraged   to explore possibilities.

     Our director, Anita Stewart founded our art school in 1998. She attended the University of Memphis and graduated with a BFA.She has 7 years of teaching art to elementary middle school and high school students. These years were spent in public and private schools in Memphis and the Atlanta areas. One of the highest compliments we have received over the years is for students to who remain year after year to soak up the encouragement and helpful guidance as well as those who leave for a while and then return to the  smiles they left behind..
